I got my first pair of Vans shoes yesterday, on sale for $9.99, and I'm hooked.  These slip-on sneakers are my new favorite footwear.

I'm making a slightly different version of last week's stew.  This one has the same center cut pork, bratwurst, onions, tomato, beans, garlic, kale, and white wine, with the addition of mushrooms, capers, and barley.

Later tonight the stew will be ready, we shall feast on it, and then play a game of Harry Potter Clue!

It's time I got out and shoveled the cars off.  I'm also going to take a walk to get eggs, bread, tea, and beer.  Household staples!  And all within 200 ft. of my home.  I'll try to get some good pics of the snow.

So far I have two of five final class grades back, and they are both A's!

Back near the beginning of Fall semester I was asked by one of my professors, the one I worked for over the summer, if I would like to have my picture taken to possibly be in the new department brochure.  Well, the hairdresser in me was all over it, and I showed up in a flattering black top with my makeup and hair done for a quick photo shoot.  ( Read more... )
