Well, I no longer work at T. Whittaker Tobaccos. It's weird, and I'll miss a lot of people. I've built some pretty strong relationships with customers and co-workers there, and it's going to feel odd not to go there except as a customer. That also means never having to answer the question "You got any single Swishers?" anymore, so there is a ( Read more... )

I certainly do wish you the very best of luck, Ter. You have been a joy to work with, and I have very much admired the range of random conversations we've had. The fact that you're aware of some of the better playwrights, and have a rounded knowledge of theatre was very joyful for me to discover. Theatre appreciation day at T. Whittaker's.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy your new job. I have no doubt you'll make a number of friends, because your personality is very inquisitve and giving.

Cheers!

P.S. Since you're working closer out to my neck of the woods now, if at anytime you feel like hooking up for a drink or a smoke, I would certainly be game.

Come out to the training bay, very close to the breakroom, and say hello once in awhile. We're working almost the same hours for the next 2 weeks :)

They are pretty liberal with training overtime, so if you ever want to ride in with me let me know. I'm there 12:30 - 9.

It's doubtful we'll get the same lunch schedule, but mine's 4:30-5 each day.

I know the stress of changing jobs and starting something new. A nice transition here is that most of the training is self paced and self directed, which I found to be agreeable as I struggle to string 8 productive hours together, then rinse and repeat ad nauseum. Okay, so working is not my first love, but I've been pretty okay so far. Ask me how I'm doing Monday when I have many needy customers!!! Love of people, fear of people. Hmmm.
