I feel poorly at the moment.

I felt poorly during work today too. And the problem is it's all because if me.

I once thought I knew myself backwards. It seems that I am only just awakening to myself as a complex, dangerous, destructive human being.

I think perhaps he is saying that he had thought he had figured himself out, but discovered that he was a bit pre-mature in that assessment, and is not just the mike he knew he was, but he was also a destructive, dangerous human being as well.

What dangerous/destructive human being implies I don't really know.
