Well, you can go back and privatize all your entries so that only you can read them, but unless you have a paid account you have to do it individually. That's what I did, and holy god it was a pain in the ass.

Other than that, I don't know what your options are...

Uh, okay. I did it by downloading an LJ client - I used X-Journal. I don't know if you have a Mac or a PC, but I have a Mac and X-Journal was pretty much the only program I could find. And in there, you can access your posting history, organized by year, month, and day, and you can edit the security of the entries. If you don't want to download stuff, it'll be an even bigger pain in the ass because you'll have to do it via the "edit entries" page.

BUT. If you're willing to shell out $3, you can buy a month's worth of paid LJ time. Once you've done that, you can go to the "edit entries" page and click on the "mass security tool." Using that, you can specify that all posts between certain dates be changed to private (or friends-only, or filtered, or anything else.) I don't know, but if I had known at the time that a month's worth of paid time was $3, I totally would have bought it because it took me about five hours to go back and privatize everything manually.
