Denali update: So, took Denali to the vet on fri, (b/c of discolored urine Th night) - diagnose UTI, so that's easy but his blood work is not looking to hot and he had a mess o' bladder stones. Have switched to a diff. (prscptn and bloody fucking expensive) food, but obviously this is not a good sign.

We need to get some mind melding done (just you wait, my department will make cyberpunk stuff start coming out soon). You up for us stopping by thanskiving to use the old style methods (i.e, shooting the shit)? Got to make a simulation of how the brain encodes timing in the next month (seems to be basal ganglia mixed with frontal for second-minute range). Oh, and for some weird psychopharm with time effects, if you give a rat speed, they will initially perform a trained timed task faster than they should, but slowly adjusts until normal (opposite direction for dopa antagonist) but if you give them acetycholine antagonist, they perform the task initially correctly, but slowly get more and more off time, which is believed to be cuased by anti-Ach causing our perceptual memory of the time to be wrong, causing the rats to "think" they performed at the wrong time, and slowly get worse and worse.

My bit of interesting trivia: Apparently traumatic brain injury to the orbital frontal cortex & inferior frontal cortex/insula and substance abuse/addiction produce very similar effects, including increased rationality (more rational moral decision making, like in the Trolley game, and economically in the ultimatum game were the examples I saw).
