Though strangely I felt a great deal of warmth towards the riot police on friday night and last night (even with the sting of billyclubs still fresh). The heartbreaking sadness on some of their faces...especially one who looked so much like Zach and so crushed and defeated by what he was doing...their lot is not the easiest.

So we headed up to the protest again yesterday evening. The arrest count was over 40 before last night. I felt much better about the protestors last night. A lot less people there who were just in it for 'some action.'
