I've only played FF12, and yes the battle modes are so hard! The configurations are so complicated and for some reason I can't get my party to retreat together. If it had only been as simple as P4, I would've made past 2 hours of gameplay orz
Gyakuten Kenji is the fifth game in the "Gyakuten Saiban" series and the first to star the prosecutor rival instead of the old blue-suited main character. He bought it by accident assuming it was the first Ace Attorney game because it was the only one there with no number on it D:
FF12 is one of the worst RPGs I have ever played so I don't blame you for quitting. I wanted to give up, too. OTL So when I heard FF13 would have AI control, too, I wanted to send Square Enix a letter that says OH NO YOU DON'T written in my own blood. T^T
FF12 was rally the only FF game i tried out and liked enough to finish. I watched my brother play FF7, 9 and X, none of which caught my interest. (KH was oooookay but it's not really FF is it.) FF13's graphics look sparkly and all that but WHAT'S UP WITH THOSE NAMES?!!
Oh my god lolololol i've loved Matsumoto FOREVER she just seems like a really cool kickass person but your descripton of her is… refreshing to know! :D;;; Metabo, ouch ouch that's really mean but mmmmm KICKASS.
I think older FF games have to be played instead of watched to understand the joy of tweaking every stupid little battle detail ;w; Give FF8 a try some time~! (since I guess you haven't already seen that one through?)

Matsumoto is a feisty little lady. Her personality surprised me a lot. I was expected some cheerful kindergarten-teacher-ish sugary lady who loves kids, but the reality was someone who seemed kind of short-tempered and crazy. ;w;
Ohh waaah you play Valkyrie server too? maybe I should come back on there to play with you, our RO days were sweet ♥ ...Waitwait what am I saying?! I play MGO now ;A;
And I only really liked FFXII...because of Fran and Balthier lol T__T; I don't have high hopes for the new FFXIII, but I AM looking forward to FFXIV (because I'm crazy and want to play a new MMO on my PS3)
And yay we can be PSP buddies ;__;! Mine just sits there collecting dust but I can't bear to sell it because it's the crisis core limited edition Orz~ Maybe Dissidia will make me play it again ¦D Have you tried that yet?

Fran and Balthier were both hot (even though I felt they were pretty empty characters, like everyone else in that game OTL ) I will give FFXIII a try because I prefer the non-online FF games. I tried FF11 for a bit and couldn't get into it at all and cried and quit. I might try FF14, though, because a console MMO sounds fun and the game might actually be interesting if I can start where everyone else is instead of feeling like the only level 1 new player in the world. ;w;
I want the crisis core edition sob sob ;_; I got the US dissidia special (which looks cool but has no pretty pictures on it). But.. but the dissidia game is still just sitting in the box while I play Harvest Moon instead T_T *goes to grow tomatoes*

and yeah i basically agree completely with your assessment of FF13, including the why i will play it because how can it go wrong. :( i'm looking forward to it less as they introduce characters like lightning's little sister who looks all pandering and school girly;;;; kasey said FF13 and FFvs13 are like "his and hers final fantasy" which is kind of awesome i guess, but subsequently leaves me looking more forward to FFvs13 because i'm a rotten human being and sorry excuse for a video game fan ;A;
ACC is so fucking hot;;; i don't know if i could go back to watching regular AC, the original seph/cloud battle feels like a slapfight minigame in comparison to the new one ♥_♥

I don't think I've enjoyed a Final Fantasy game since the playstation days ;A; and that makes me feel bad, since I love!! Tactics, so FF12 should be something worth playing, right? 8( &I don't really mind AI-controlled party members; I think after something like Persona 3, it's a piece of cake. XD
but the beginning of FF12 just "do this obnoxious guild quest" "what" *turns off ps2*
ALSO I AM SO EXCITED FOR THAT HARUKA3 ANIME despite neglecting to play haruka3
