(A/N: I can probably tighten this up a lot more and likely will in the future if I post it on my own journal, but for now, here you go! :D I'm slightly nervous about filling a prompt for the ficathon host! It'll make a bit more sense if you know "The Adventure of the Speckled Band" from the original canon: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Adventure_of_the_Speckled_Band.)

He was a doctor, dammit. He wasn't supposed to find this even remotely amusing.

Really, it wasn't a pleasant way to go. Muscle paralysis, cardiac arrest, respiratory failure--all things that could follow such an injury. None of these were laughing matters.

Oh my GOD, this is so perfect. Adorable and hilarious and so them. Sherlock's snort did me in just like it did to John, I just cracked right up. XDD And Lestrade is so great here! Oh the shenanigans he must deal with. :P And I'm kind of an original-canon nerd, so this made me flail around even more. :D

P.S. Aww don't be nervous! I'm the most easy-going person ever. Just ask anyone! :DD

Hee, thank you! :D Filling prompts in general is always an exercise in "OH MY GOD WILL THEY LIKE IT WHAT AM I DOING" for me, so I'm so glad you enjoyed! This was only my second time writing Lestrade, too, so that doubled the nervousness.

"Speckled Band" usually seems to be the case I fall back on whenever I need to sneak one into a story; easiest to modernize. Plus the "bit him in the ass" thing was too good to resist. ;) Thanks for the wonderful prompt!
