I would recommend Tsubasa Chronicles, I like it alot. I've gotten some new anime since I've posted this. I have all of One piece, which is about 281 episodes at the moment, and 7 movies. This show is truly phenomenal, I would recommend it to anyone who likes anime or even is interested in getting into it. It has a wonderful ongoing overplot, subplots, character development and goals/histories, politics, love, fight scenes. Watch this anime at all costs.

Tsubasa Chronicals, eh? Thanks, but no thanks. Although I like some shojo stuff, I currently hold a stubborn prejudice against cardcaptors and other stuff that's closely related to cardcaptors. I am intrigued by your strong recommendation of it, though ... so I might check it out ... reluctantly

Tsubasa chronicles is good, and as far as i know nothing like cardcaptors even though it's related in the loosest sense. xxxHolic is also good.
However the strong recommendation that I gave was for One Piece. Go watch it now!
