pattern for an 18th-century court gown

I've decided this may be the year that I finally go as the ghost of Marie Antoinette for Halloween. I'm starting to look around for a court gown pattern & know the people on here will have some leads. Actually Simplicity has some pretty decent patterns for the hoop, stays, pockets, and even the gown. The gown they have pictured looks funny but I think it's because of the material and not the pattern itself. No matter what pattern you go with, you'll have some fiddling to do simply to make it fit *you*.

Over all I find JP Ryan easier to follow and more authentic than Reconstructing History.

History of Costume by Blanche Payne 1964? has a pattern for a queen's court dress and pannier. forgive me for not remembering which queen. These are graphed patterns for original garments, so you will need to size them to fit you, but the skirt is designed to go over the hoop that is given so you can see the pattern shapes best.
