Up in the hills

Well, I made it.  The Burbank Airport is very mellow, not crazy airport-y at all.  We walked off the plane into the mild weather and walked across the tarmac into the small terminal.  The baggage claim was outside.  The weather is incredibly...soft: the air feels soft and smells like honeysuckle, and green grass, and clover.

Wow, the traveling woman. redbaydreamer March 12 2008, 23:59:45 UTC
That is quite a trip from NYC to California. Quite a change too. I haven't been too often. The first time we went it was to La Puente which was where B's grandparents lived at the time. The second time we went I have no clue where we were because his Aunt picked us up and took us there. We had been in Long Beach at a convention. The last time we went we drove all over but I didn't have a sense of where we were in relation to the city, we may have actually been staying downtown somewhere and then traveled various places to see family. B has lots of cousins out there, mostly in Apple Valley I guess, maybe Glendale. I don't know if you met Aunt Judi, she lives out there. I have cousins in California but they are up north in San Francisco and near Sacramento. It is a big state. So different though. His cousins are more blue collar folks so we just chalked up their difference to the fact that they would be living an entirely different lifestyle than we would no matter where they lived ( ... )

Yes, sounds nice. I have been to California only once, and that was to San Francisco, a lovely city. (With a 900-foot mountain inside the city limits!)

Wow, you got to leave the bed bug WARS, how great.
It sounds like heaven. Don's cousin just moved to Burbank. He needed to get closer to the hub of animated movie making. The milder weather is just a side benefit.
Have a relaxing time where the words flow like the snowmelt running off the roof. It's over 50 degrees here today.
