This is really my first spring as a home owner...at least as a good homeowner. We bought the house last February but didn't really move in until July and did a minimum of maintanence in the mean time

Oh dear. My brother Jon was always bringing home the little baby bunny that the neighbor's cat half-got. I'm sure my mom felt the same as you've expressed here. You don't have the heart to kill it, but you're not quite sure your kindness is the best thing. It's awkward. It's horrible to say, but in the end, it's not going to matter what you did. So, perhaps it doesn't hurt that you just do what you are able to do. Put it some place safe for now and let nature run its course. *hugs*
