My iPod appears to have run off with gypsies.  It's nowhere to be found.  The fact that it did this right before I had to make a four hour drive by myself was a particular insult.

I have to decide when I give up hope for it's return and buy a new one.  For a brief moment this all seemed like a good thing as I discovered the new iPod Touch - ( Read more... )

My Ipod got spirited away some time at the end of May. Sadness pie. That ipod touch thing sounds like crap for the money. Go with classic.

The point is this:
1. The vast majority of iPod users only use a few gigs. Amazing and strange, but true. My personal experience confirms this, as does the fact that Nanos are selling like hotcakes.

2. The iPod Touch is a complete PDA that also has a lot of memory (for a PDA)

3. It's 16 gigs of flash, which is vastly better than hard drive storage...for those people who only need 16 gigs. But it's also vastly more expensive.
