I really need to make one of these myself. But I never get around to it :|

I loved The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time. It's so perfect and cute.

Excellent choices! I've read many of those books and I'm sure you will enjoy them. :)

Suggestions? Hmm...

Regeneration - Pat Barker
Diary of a Mad Bride - Laura Wolf
Twilight - Stephenie Meyer
Austerlitz - W.G. Sebald
The Fan Maker's Inquisition - Rikki DuCornet
To Kill a Mockingbird - Harper Lee
Jennifer Government - Max Barry
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas - Hunter S. Thompson

This is my reading list. I'm also part of the 50bookchallenge"/ community. I recommend trying it out. :)

I've already failed my 50 for this year. Haha. I'm only on 26 and it's September! :[

Haha! I've only read 25 (reading #26)! But I have 19 plays/books I need to read for school, so that can help.

Regardless, I plan on (hopefully) reaching my goal. Don't worry, Tay - we can do it! :)

Holy Shit! I love you! I love making lists. I just amke lists for everything.

"Night" is one of my favorite books. It so heartbreaking but you can't put it down.

The Book Thief was on my list but I was kinda :/ about it. But since you feel strongly about it. I'll put it back on and look into the other books you suggested. :)

This is admittedly kind of strange, but, um, HI, we don't know each other at all, and tonight I got sort of stupid with boredom and went, "wheeeee how about I LJ-stalk the people who watch scrapofpaper, that sounds both productive and amusing." And I couldn't resist clicking on a book list, and I feel so strongly about The Book Thief that I figured it was worth leaving this frenetic and possibly very creepy comment to a stranger. Dude. Read. The Book Thief, especially if you read books about the Holocaust. Fuck, read this book if you like people, if you hate people, if you like reading books, if you've ever looked at any word in any language and thought it sounded cool. It's one of my favorite books ever, if not my number-one favorite book, ever.

Pleased to meet you!

It's not weird at all. I've done it a few times myself.

I did keep The BookThief on my reading list because on my friend's list also felt really strongly about. I haven't read it yet. I'm reading the Orange Girl next week. Then Lord of the Flies probably. I keep finding new books and subjects to read that are not on my reading list so it's seems like I haven't read a thing off this list.

A lot of those are ones that I have been meaning to read as well. I need to re-do my list, since I lost my old HUGE one on my last computer. Ha. I don't really know what to suggest. Right now I am plowing through a lot of Chuck Palahniuk books, myself. I suggest all of them.

I've been going through your list in order to rebuild my own, and omfg Sophie's World. WORST book to read for me. It was our summer reading for sophomore year. I think I would have liked it more had we not had to analyze EVERYTHING and do all these reports on it. We never even finished it. It's like a million pages long and so deep. I hear it's an amazing book though, but omg SLAUGHTERED ME. -____-

Oh and to keep being obnoxious and replying as I read your list more.
TESS! Tess of the D'Urbervilles is soooooo gooooood. It's like the ultimate heart clutching love story but NOT. It's just kinda tragic I guess. GOOOOOOOD stuff.

I hate reading books that you have to fight to finish. Like a battle! The Sun Also Rises...I had such high hopes for it. But it let me down hard. I'm going to try to make it through again.

and I love your spastic comments. When you are done with your reading list. I wanna see :)

It's not massive but it's just too long for a comment. Hahaha.
Most are repeats from you, some are re-reads or ones that I never got finished with, etc. The ones you have never heard of you should google [there are too many for my to describe] and check those out.
