I haven't been able to watch/listen to any of the hearings, but I must say that I still totally agree with your first statement. And who is it that always falls asleep during Bush's speeches??? :-P

Hehe yeah. You should watch Bush's next State of the Union Address and see what sort of reaction Kennedy shows. ;-) I've seen him fall asleep (or at least appear to be asleep) and also make faces. (Plus, it's fun to see if President Bush makes any faces or winks at Laura or anything. ;-D)

I've seen several of his speeches, and yes, it's so cute when he winks or smiles at Laura! ;) Next time I'll have to watch out for Ted Kennedy too, haha.

saw, um, i think it was schumer tonight accusing Roberts of not having modesty in his writings, as in not having humility. then grilling him some more. you have to be thinking, these guys know they sound ridiculous. democrats know that in the spirit of dean the scream, they cant say much else to ruin any dignity they might have had or any illusion of maturity. im figuring they are just trying to get a reaction from roberts, kinda like bullies in the 2nd grade, cause they know the press would fry roberts for any slip up, but give dems immunity for whatever idiotic thing they say.

You're probably right. They're all such crybabies. =P

I'm hopeful that he'll get confirmed, but I'm not confident. *sigh*

Yeah I was really impressed with the little bit that I saw. Roberts seems to be a really knowledgable guy, and I so hope they realize what a valuable asset he will be to the Supreme Court!
