Sorry for my lack of presence around here lately...I've been busy at work again, and then I get so behind on updating that the thought of posting is too daunting. =P Anyway, I just come bearing pictures this time, since I'm way behind again.

I was rummaging through an old jewelry box and found this ring. It was my great-grandma's, and I'd had it tucked away because when I got it I wasn't old enough to wear it. But it'll be nice now for special occasions.

I helped out with my company's Special Olympics swim meet event again this year. This time we had a special guest: Olympic gold medalist Megan Jendrick! She was really cool, and brought her gold medal with her--it's on the table there. I was bummed I didn't get to get a picture with her, but I was too busy. =(

Heather took me to this little local wine shop where they make their own wine and offer free tastings. It was nice to taste wine for free without having to buy a glass or bottle! I ended up buying a bottle of a green apple wine.

You're not allowed to go inside your potential housing on post--you just have to take it on good faith. But nothing stops you from doing a drive-by, so I did. It's so cool to see where we're going to be living in a few weeks...can't wait to make it look "lived in."

We spent the afternoon at the Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium. It was small, but still really cool and had a lot of animals that the Jacksonville zoo never has. I thought this seahorse was cool!
