Ah, well...probably because demon posession is real. And that makes it scary. I have ABSOLUTELY NO INTENTION of seeing that movie. I had nightmares after reading a Christian exorcist's book. And I had nightmares after watching a tv special about real exorcism.

However, from what I've learned about exorcism (I've read a few books) it sounds like the movie is right on. Each demon has a name and a particular sin that allowed passage into the person. There can sometimes be hundreds of demons in one person. And they can come and go at will.

i just came back from seeing this. this movie was way better than the exorcist... the excosist makes me laugh. so does rosemary's baby.
