I wonder if the owners of the building on the left that jogs out like that had to pay for an easement? It's almost like the house from the Harry Potter movie, super secret that only comes out when the magic is invoked.

yes actually, they had to sell their air space rights for over the building as well as the right to build right up each side with no space.
