I make a point of moving books around in bookshops to make a point. Most recently I moved Queer by William Burroughs from the "Lesbian and Gay Interest" ghetto section to the fine literature bit.

I'm tempted to move the Michael Behe from the "Science" to the "Religion N' Crystal Dolphins N' Shite" section next time (we would also accept "Modern Fiction" and "Joke Books").

I do that too!

I've been doing Guerrilla manoeuvres in religious sections of Waterstones for years.

Anyone who works in a bookshop must hate us. But I am fighting the good fight! Trying to encourage the religious to read popular science and educate themselves about how the world really works! Hurrah!

Plus, it makes you feel a bit naughty.

Feeling like you're doing something right and feeling a bit naughty at the same time is a rather lovely cocktail.

I'm still tempted to stealthily slip disclaimers into any books I find about intelligent design or general Darwin-bashing.

OH MY GOD (lolz) I'd be so up for that. I'm totally going to travel round the country doing that and end up on the news or something.
