36 weeks and the fun never ends!

Well that was fun.

My BP was high according to them (I'm sure my rushing to get there on time didn't help) So they did a blood draw for Pre-eclampsia. I have zero other symptoms of it.

They still want me to take some more tests next week at the appointment. That is, I can do that unless I develop any symptoms at which point I go in immediately. I doubt I will, I haven't even got much "normal" swelling on my ankles that one would expect. So Mr. Panthy freaked (one of his daycare moms just had a baby and she had Pre-e and went into full fledged eclampsia when she had the baby, it was really scary). Great.

They made me wait for my labs, and they said they look fine, only my BP seemed off. Ok then. Fine. At least they drew blood with only one stick this time! Woo hoo! She wiggled around to get it for about five minutes though. I love it when they say "Oh, I wish I hadn't gone after this little one..."

I also have to have non-stress tests every week from now on. Spawn wasn't being all that cooperative, either, but he/she passed, so we're good. I don't anticipate having any more problems, but the appointment I told Mr. Panthy "wouldn't take very long" took two and a half hours. They wouldn't let me leave until the bloodwork came back. Joy.

I'm also measuring huge. They measured me at 39 weeks! WTF? Dr. doesn't seem too concerned, luckily, but then again I have a tiny torso. Quite a bump since last week I measured right on (35 weeks). If one more person asks me if I'm sure it isn't twins I'm going to smack them!

The funniest part was yet again, the saga of the scales. I get on the scales, and they weigh me in at 10 lbs LESS than last time. WTF? The doctor comes in and makes them re-weigh me. Apparently one of the other nurses found out the scale was set at -3 kilos! So I actually gained a couple of pounds. No wonder my bp was high. Talk about nerve-wracking.

Anyway, all still seems to be good in Spawnland. The nurse was able to get it to start responding to, of all things, a metallica song on the radio. Oh yeah, that's Mr. Panthy's child. Heh.

So everything really is still good, and hopefully will stay that way. My sugars are rocking, so there's that. Woo hoo! Not long till Spawn countdown now.
