I love the Red Hat terminals in the computer labs. I finally decided to use one earlier this year and it's funny how people avoid them, even when the labs are full, 'cause they think they don't know how to use 'em ( Read more... )

Red Hat Enterprise Linux is a Linux operating system. The user interface is kind of like a Mac and kind of like Windows but easy enough to figure out. The fact that it looks different scares people away enough that sometimes I don't have to wait for a computer when the lab's crowded. XD

Damn. I'm outta the loop. Did they ditch the old Solaris ones?

Two Red Hats per lab. It's pretty sweet.

I think they miiiiiiight still run Solaris on one or two comps in David Lawrence, but there aren't any in the Posvar lab, at least. They redid David Lawrence and the Cathedral basement lab over the summer.
