LOST: the end

If you haven't seen the series finale yet, you shouldn't read this because it's one big spoiler.

Wow.

I'm pretty sure I'm not able to put my true feelings about the series finale into the right words at the moment, but I'm gonna try because I want to talk about it with you guys.

Wow.

Wow wow wow.

I'll admit it - I cried. A lot. And I still feel like crying. Everytime a character had an 'awakening', I teared up. The part where Claire and Charlie find each other again, the part where Juliet and Sawyer get together (I LOVE THE WRITERS FOR DOING THAT), seeing Libby sitting next to Hurley... All the broken relationships that got fixed - I was so happy for all of the characters. I'm also glad that Ben and Locke got their moment together, just before Locke entered the church.

I must say that I'm not really getting everything yet. I'm not fully grasping this 'explanation' for the series yet. If I got it right, the alternate timeline (the one where the plane doesn't crash) was some sort of purgatory, right? A place they made together to move on together. But island-wise I'm not really getting it. Lapidus managed to fly the plane off the island, and what happens next? Jack lies down and sees the plane - does he die?

Even though I'm not really fully understanding it yet, I do love they wrapped the series up by letting Jack lie down in the place where he woke up the first time we met him. And I loved that Vincent was there, too. Making Hurley the island's keeper was also very satisfactory.

I'm going to need to watch these episodes a couple of times and read some recaps before I'll be able to stop thinking about it, but that's worth it. This show was worth it. I do think this finale was a great finale to a great series.

I'm really really REALLY going to miss LOST.

Meh.
