God. I never changed into that clique girl when I got older (though I made some half-assed attempt at being popular), but I REALLY want to just lay in the grass and pick flowers and look for bugs and make mudpies now.

That first drawing is one of those wretched facts of life, you know? Like acne scars or first dates never being the way they are in the movies. I feel really sorry for the girl's older self; she looks miserable!

You know, I live near an Eat at Joe's. I'm sure he appreciates the advertising!

Man, I love how lush the grass is on the nicer side. I also remember going to great lengths to get into a mess. Sigh....

The 10 and 13 year old girls would look great up on a wall, each in her own half of a two-part oval-shaped stained glass window.

Chalk me up as another girl who never grew up into cliquehood. In my case, I was homeschooled from the first grade onwards, and the only friends I had growing up were my sister and my cat (and books, of course). I wasn't even aware that people could change so much until we got an internet connection when I was twelve, I've been so detatched from the rest of the world. Good? Bad? I don't know.

BTW (just to compound my geekiness here), if you want really good free online roleplaying games that will give you more excuses to draw stupid characters, then these are the ones. I started doodling a whole comic based on my first Murkon characters.... ::headdesk::
