i'm glad your family's safe. that's just scary shit. i was talking today to my intern about you . i was telling her how worried i was for you when 9/11 happened. it's fucked up that this has affected you and your relatives so closely.

i have friends who lost fathers, sons, and others near and dear. these people have been far more affected by this than I. my thoughts and prayers go out to them right now.

i'm thankful that my family is safe. i keep thinking, oh thank God they're over here. but something inside of me twitches b/c "over here" isn't as secure as I once believed it to be.
