Simple things and growing up

I've really been evaluating how little time I seem to have for the simple things while pursuing so much crap while I'm in Houston. I don't ever seem to take a walk and enjoy the great scenery on campus. I don't ever watch the sunset or the leaves just wave around in the wind. I love nature, and I never go to enjoy it anymore. I need to go and get away to the park and stay in my happy place. Just me and the wind. I had a good time in the rain a month ago, but that was a month ago.

As for the kids growing up and not staying close, that doesn't happen. My cousin (the one I blogged about) he still writes me little comments every once in a while and I write them back to him. It's not a long winded conversation, but we still joke and tease. The relationship stays even when the kid gets older.
