It seems several digital alarm clocks run off the same IC. In normal operation, to set the alarm, you hold down the Alarm Set button and press the hour and minute buttons to increment the time. To set the time, you hold down the Time Set button and use the hour and minute buttons to increment the time. Both my current and previous alarm clocks
