I'm off to Hawaii on Wednesday for 11 days, for the Pro tour and an actual vacation with just Jen (basically the first since our honeymoon). Woo hoo!

Thomas Dolby is playing in San Francisco on the 9th.

Heh. Wonder if he's play "Close but no cigar." Seems appropriate somehow. On the other hand, going on vacation with Jen? You're definitely getting the better end of the deal, and you know it, buddy boy.

I feel your pain. Ever since I saw the piece on the Pogues in EW last week, I've been fiendishly strategizing how best to score a sold out ticket, as seeing the boys (including Shane) live is pretty damned imperative. I may, finally, have to make the leap into ebay userdom...

Have a great time in Honolulu. Wish I could have gone to the tourney, but at least I'm spending the weekend with my family in Tennessee, so I've got no complaints.
