Safe and Sound (it's not even raining)

Several people have written, so this seems the fastest way to give the all-clear. Jen and I are fine, though along the line the bombs were on; transportation to Earl's Court for the tournament should be interesting.

Everything is quite calm. The IRA has the city fairly well-trained in responding to these things, so life carries on as usual.

This is good to hear. Agreed that if any city's been trained to handle this kind of thing, it's London -- I hope transport unsnarls enough for the tournament to happen.

Wizards seems to have decided that it will. Hope that you and everyone are able to enjoy the tournament despite today's events.

The Lovely Wife wishes it to be known that she's glad everyone is all right. She has also asked me to convey that the London branch of the extended Lovely Wife family is fine as well.

As for making your way through the city, I think you all need to rent yourselves some Vespas for the duration. You'll be the bad-assedest Magic playing scooter gang the world has ever seen.

I wouldn't go that far. The reasons to worry about papa_funk are legion (and may indeed eclipse the number of things there are to blame him for).

I categorically deny the very possibility of this.

Very glad that all are safe and sound.

Well, I certainly don't have the math to work this out, so I'll defer to people with a better head for numbers.

That said, it would seem to me that every thing we have to blame PF for is a cause for worry (although not necessarily a reason to worry about him, which may complicate the equation).

However, in addition to all these blame-based concerns, there are countless other reasons to worry about him (I'd cite goobertude, weenusosity, and general smegginess as three obvious examples), which suggests that the worry may indeed outstrip the blame.

Again, I'll leave it to the logicians and mathematicians among us to make a difinitive statement on this matter.
