I found out not ten minutes ago that my mom's dad now has cancer of the kidney. They don't know if it's malignant or not yet, but here's hoping it's benign

I lost both of my grandfathers to lung cancer (my paternal in '88, I think it was, and my maternal in '03) and my paternal grandmother to colon cancer (when my dad was 18 or thereabouts.) So I can definitely sympathize.
*big hug* Seeing loved ones incapacitated like that is really hard...
Being active, I think, will help. My grandfather has been through a fair amount of cancer-related things, and his being active definitely contributed to his fast recovery. The only real impact chemo had on his life, once the treatments themselves were past, was that he had to cut back to only one aerobics session per week.
