He knew they'd look odd walking into any justice of the peace with how they looked age wise so called in a favor from a friend. He had taken her out to find a dress, she wouldn't let him see yet. He smiled because she wanted everything to be perfect and it made him chuckle at the memories she didn't share with him

So yeah I suck, and if you don't want to do this anymore that's completely fine. I totally forgot about it.

Mary honestly couldn't cared less what anybody else thought of them. Nobody else knew what they'd both been through, and she'd never loved anybody as much as she loved him. He was everything to her, so of course she wanted this to be perfect.

Her heart was in her throat as she walked down the aisle towards him. Letting her breath out in a rush as she finally reached the hand, and could take him hand. She couldn't have moved the smile from her face if she tried.

He took her hand then and smiled as he drew her close. His heart was beating a mile a minute and he bit his lip gently. When the justice began talking his entire body felt like it was humming with energy as she was asked whether she wanted him for better or for worse and all of that. He felt his heart and breath stop for a moment as he waited for her answer.

If he hadn't been speaking, Mary never would have known the justice was there, her eyes intent on John. She wanted to yell "Yes! Of course!". She couldn't help but think it was a silly question. Would she be standing here right now if she didn't want for better or worse, till death do we part?

She managed to speak calmly though, when she said "I do."

He smiled then remembering to breath as he listened to the justice just waiting for that last part. He already knew his answer, it's why he was here with her.

"Yes Sir, I do."
