He welcomed the distraction from the holidays, setting to cook for his dinner date with Katsumi. He found her attractive, and wasn't afraid to let her know he thought such. He really just hoped he wasn't too overly rusty in anything and bore her to tears. He waited for her to come to his place as he finished up.

Katsumi stepped up and gently knocked on the door. She was surprised that John Winchester had asked her to come over. Was interested in her. Stranger things had happened but not to her. On her arm was a bottle of sake and she was dressed in a red and gold kimono.

He went and opened the door, smiling letting her in. He greeted her with a gentle kiss to her cheek. "You look beautiful Katsumi, come on in."

"Thank you, John-bo." Smiling she reached up and touched her cheek where he gave her a light kiss. Stepping inside she glanced up at him with soft blue eyes before offering the bottle of rice wine to him. "I brought you a gift."

"Thank you, you didn't have to." He smiled and took it, walking with her to a table he had set up. Steaks with mushrooms and onions, and mashed potatoes. "I hope this is good for you."

"The usual. No one takes breaks for Christmas, there used to be a time where that was the case." Picking up her fork and knife she watched his hands before mimicking.his movements.

"Did you open up any gifts this Christmas? Spend some time with your family?" She too cut into the steak and took a bite.

"No I didn't, on both counts. Haven't contacted my boys to let them know I was back. Not looking to get shot." He chuckled softly.
