Psst: my second-favorite fantasy roller boogie song is Stevie Wonder's "I Was Made to Love Her".

If you get a chance to seek it out on SLSK or in the stores, check out Motown Remixed. There's a FANFUCKINGTASTIC remix of this (the Crunk Remix; I like to roll through Detroit with it bumpin', and when I get close, people stare at me like, "WTF, IS THAT THE JACKSON 5?" It's pretty damned awesome.) But mostly, the "I Want You Back" is the most perfect remix I can ever think of. I also lovelovelove what they did with "Let's Get It On", it's so damned perfect. Even if a little part of me died when I heard it.

I'm dying to get my hands on the second volume. I think the same group did a bunch of Verve remix albums too, but I'm unsure if I want that sort of sacrilegious stuff around my house. It's just not natural.

Also, OMG Bill Cosby.. so young. With hair! And no jello! Did such things exist in the past?!

edit: I was starting this comment on the prev post, so the 'this' I'm referring to above is actually "A B C". Derr. Sorry for the confusion.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE HEADS UP!!!

You are absolutely right about the "I Want You Back" and "ABC" remixes!

I love Cosby's stuff from the first season of The Electric Company too. Cos with the moustache is pretty frickin funny.

I love how the DJ deconstructed every part of the song, and layered it all back together. You never hear those little parts that make the whole in Motown, even tho it's highly prepared and exact.

Still, that remix is awesome. I love how you can really hear MJ's voice, without all the music, only the bass and drums.

I remember, vaguely, Elec Co. What was the name of the pen that he had? That's really the only part I recall. Though, I do remember watching Fat Albert and being totally surprised that he was the voice.

and YAY FOR NEW FRIENDS.

The pen was part of Picture Pages which Bill did on CAPTAIN KANGAROO.
