There was shock, euphoria, 'it's about damn time', and now I'm sliding into relief and a need for sleep.
I have voted for president three? four times? I honestly can't quite remember at the moment. This is the first time the guy I voted for won.

Well Tennessee failed me so my cry of "Git-R-Done" didn't happen, but America pulled through for me.

That's a beautiful picture BTW.

Do you think Bush sleeps that peacefully?

Hard to say. I'm not sure the man is really smart enough to realize all the damage he's done to this county to have a guilty conscience about it.

Have you got over my singing yet? Too bloody tired to join hands and dance around the room.

I'm working (well, off computer now) on a fan-girl fanfiction wiki, writing an X-men stub, once I've got through the stuff don't be surprised when you get to check it.

Pops!!! Oh pops!!! Did you listen to his acceptance speech? He said the word "gay" and it was okay! It was okay for gay americans to be out and supportive and ready for a change.

I cried... i cried like a baby. It was so nice to hear the next president acknowledge everyone, including me.

I remember 4 years ago when I sat in my livingroom in my dorm and cried into my hands. I'm so happy now I can hardly believe it.

I've never sat and listened to a politician before and found nothing to disagree with in anything they've said. I felt that way last night when I heard his acceptance. I was especially moved when he called out to the rest of the world.

This is exactly how "base" people must feel when they're listening to assholes like Bush and his cronies. I've never felt like I was part of a politician's base group - I only wish we had someone nearly that charismatic and inspiring in politics in my country.

Shewwwwwwwww. We did it. Are you proud of us? I am. Sitting on the couch with my daughter this morning, watching footage of Black folks around the world embracing, we both got tears in our eyes (she wasn't sure why, but she could feel the emotion of the moment). We have such potential for forward motion now.

The guy's got the weight of expectation of the entire world on him...may he rest peacefully while he can. He'll have a tough 100 first days, methinks...
