Ugh. This reminds me of the many women I knew from my mom's generation who had hysterectomies because their husbands couldn't bear to have their tubes tied.

I don't understand that mentality. Well, maybe a little. I had friends in high school that were much too worried about it because they were really sensitive about their balls and anything making them "less of a man". But when my irresponsible ass is out walking my bitch, it is annoying coming across other a male dog who wants to fuck... Tonight, we were charged by a rotti...a male rotti. Usually this isn't an issue. But with Dakota in heat, good grief it had me worried for a few minutes. Turns out he was fixed but interested in knowing just exactly what D's smell was... Gross. Thank gosh we are nearing the end of the waiting list of the OSPCA's spay/neuter program...

Long story short; unless you plan on studding the dog out for responsible breeding purposes, get rid of those hangy waggy balls!

Oh, that's scary! All the Rottweilers I've met have been very solid dogs. I think I'd only be able to stand by helplessly.
