hey hun, where you say i strongly believe, you can say, "I am of a strong belief" or "I have strong beliefs in the fact that..."

or where you say "Hitler was wrong to believe that one man could control the entire world," you could change it to "Hitler was wrong to believe that one man could obtain control of the whole world." also you spelt control wrong

and when you say "(EU) was created after the second world war, and currently has a population of 450 million." you can add the word citizens or people on the end

All Matt's ideas are great.. but you can also go into what his idea of 'sterile' was.. about the Aerian(sp?) race and what not.. but you could get into more depth about what constituted the sterileness of the whole thing...

thats really good! and i do agree w/ the above comments. also though, you can go back through the whole thing and add "of" or "can" here and there if it makes sense. you wont really have to change the body or wordage if you do it that way. such as...
"I believe that as a world we can finally come together and work out all "of" the problems, if only we "can" try to understand."
