As the self-appointed referee of this event, the Cat decides that he is clearly "in charge" enough to respond to Mark's message. Appearing smile-first behind Mark, he first takes note of his reflecting in the mirror, fixes a few stray hairs on his chest with his tongue, and then clears his throat, grinning much too broadly.

And Mark actually yelps--he could have sworn there was nothing in the mirror the last time he'd checked.
He lets out a slow breath.

"Cheshire Cat. Right."

"Right." The Cat purrs the R and settles down on his haunches. "You have questions?"
