I need a planner. I am to the point in my life where I need to write shit down and my phone calendar won't cut it. I have balked at writing stuff down since I was tiny, and generally I won't forget things, and the most I ever did during school was to write on my hand something about bringing a permission slip back ( Read more... )

I have a lot of respect for you and your work with DVSAS. It makes me hold my head a little higher just because I know you.

Hah, you know what Michael? It's totally selfish of me. It is a giant part of my own healing process, and it gives me so much more than I could ever give back to it.

I really appreciate your confidence in me, thank you.

You only think that last part. Everyone chooses work for selfish reasons (I include people like Mother Teresa in that one.) What you give to other people is what makes the work worth doing.

What kind of planners you like. Month at a glance? Big spaces for each day of the month? Both? Fancy and pretty? Black and white, and professional?

Yowsa, the IUD sounds godawful. But I kinda really want one, please tell me if you are happy with its performance in general.

I love you.

Excellent summation, counselor! count_01 January 9 2009, 22:11:00 UTC
And there is a reason the court has to call those who complain "victims." Because otherwise, doing what they do would be called "vengeance," not "justice." Victim is a title for someone who is not you, who has been wronged. Justice is a name for when someone who is not involved, intervenes after something bad has already happened, to someone else.

I am of the opinion that the very impersonality of the process is a good thing, at least for the people who are directly involved. If it were personal, we'd wind up replaying the Balkan Wars here in Seattle, in Washington DC, in Mayberry, everywhere...forever.
