Although I've been known to make a roast or two, the thing I use mine for the most is chili, in part because apart from needing beans, it's a pretty adaptable thing. I usually add some combination of the following, depending on what's in my cupboards:
kidney beans
black beans
canellini beans
garbanzo beans
chicken
ground turkey
diced tomatoes
cumin
coriander
cayenne pepper
black pepper
jalepenos (sometimes fresh, sometimes canned)
chipotle Tabasco
Then, as the old Ronco commercials used to say, I set it and forget it!
