Circle Mirror Transformation opens with the lights down, an EXIT sign appearing out of the darkness. The lights come up, revealing that the EXIT sign marks the door through which the five characters come and go throughout the play. It's good. It's a solid production, a decent script, and the acting is superb. I laughed out loud multiple times. Don't go to the Q&A afterward unless you think deliberately ambiguous literature should be subject to a single interpretation.

.So is this another versiotn of Sartre's No Exit. iThat play had
three rcharacters as well..
But they werre older peoeple if I remember right.
Wish I could see it/. I like Sartre's theater..

It's actually nothing like No Exit, where none of the three characters leave the room and they torment each other deliberately. These five characters mostly have good intentions. They're just very, very human.

The Huntington isn't the cheapest theatre, but a balcony seat probably won't break your budget.

How funny.. I thought it was the Sartre play! It played in NY
in the fifties or sixties..Annabella, Charles Boyer and two
other characters. Was wonderful. Very existential.
