If there is one thing I hate about spring and summer it is the BUGS. Just bugs bugs and more bugs everywhere. dragonflies need standing water, that's where they spend the first half of their life cycle. And mosquitoes need standing water, too, so if you have any pools or puddles or barrels lying around, that'll do it.

i happen to LOVE dragonflies, but i understand that they are freaky.

we are dealing with fruit flies, here, and that's more than enough bugs for me. ew.

I believe dragon flies eat mosquitoes, so they're ok in my book!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way. I like the general IDEA of gardening, but I just can't do it b/c of the bugs. I'm so with you on the "they can't hurt you" thing. No shit, but they're still THERE. HATE THEM.

Ugh...that's so creepy. White spiders? *shudders* I'd quit at that point too.

You should just do some mulch and low-maintenance ground cover or plants around the front, then you shouldn't need to do too much weeding.

Mmm, banana bread. I haven't made that in ages.

I've seen a TON of dragon flies lately, I think it's been all the rain. Like, 3 HUGE ones that made me dodge and jump out in our back parking.

Ugh.
