I just had the idea that I would like to donate my wedding dress someplace that might re-sell them for charity, or something a long those lines. Not just donating to the Salvation Army, but to a specific wedding dress charity. I know charities like this exist because I've found some on the net, but they are too far away - anyone heard of something ( Read more... )

Congrats on sticking with the obedience training. It is hard to be stern with lovey pups, but they're much better for it, and it sounds like Ruby is a treat to be around.

it is hard, but the best motivator is that i know that in the end being well trained is definitely the best thing for her!

i'm glad you are doing good with your wedding dress by donating it, rather than that whole "trash the dress" phenomenon which just seems so wasteful to me.

yeah, i am not really all for the trash the dress thing.... i guess to each their own, but personally i dont even know what i would do with a bunch of pictures of myself running through like... the brush or knee high water wearing a wedding gown!

It would be pretty if you could use your veil in a frame with a picture from your wedding/wedding announcement :)

I also think that is really amazing that you are looking to donate your wedding dress somewhere. I think it would be hard for me to get rid of it but I would love to know that it was being put to use. I think a lot of people hold onto their wedding dresses but never really take them out of a closet or a box and then they are so old/outdated that they can never be reused.

that is a really good idea, somehow i didn't think of crafting with the veil fabric at all!

and you know, i really thought it would be hard to get rid of my dress... but honestly, i haven't even taken it out and looked at it once since i put it away last year!
