I think that's part of the reason I'm struggling so much. Just having a house - hell, just getting out of THIS particular apartment - would make me happy beyond reason. I mean, I do have my favorites of the houses, of course, but then I also have "realistic favorites." +laugh+
You do raise a good point, though; I'm fairly certain the hours at the full-time job are 9-5 or thereabouts, but on the little flier they sent to us it did mention the ol' "must be able to work evenings/weekends on occasion," and I'm assume that's in case of a concert or special event, but I could be wrong. I'll look into that.
And I'm sort of asking Chris the same thing right now, but of course, the first thing I get back from him is "I just want you to be happy." He's very sweet and supportive, but less than decisive. :)

I would say go for it. If it were me I would regret not doing it. If it too much, then maybe you can ask to return to your old position. I say GO FOR IT!
