I may be 500 miles away, but I cried when I read this. My mother had a really dangerous and difficult surgery last year at a really difficult time (in the midst of applying for college). I felt like what you do now. I was scared (and still am), and I channel all my emotions into my music, as well as studying. My mother (as well as the rest of my family) and I are as different as night and day, and we don't get along very well, but I don't know what I'd do without them if one of them...you know.
I may be far, but I'll be praying for you and her. "This storm too shall pass."
Hey Diana, I came across your journal, and I just thought I'd say that if your mom's anything like you, she'll have the strength to get through even this toughest of battles. My dad had stage 4 (the last stage) cancer a few years ago; it had metastasized quite a bit, but he got through it and is now healthier than ever. I know that every case and type of cancer is different-I just thought i'd share one of many success stories with you. You and your mom are in my thoughts and prayers. <3 -Chloe Fedor

Same deal - crying at random times...
Some days I feel dead inside and all I do is sleep because it's a temporary escape. Or read.
And some days friends like you remind me why life is what it is and nothing less.
Feel better Diana ... did you know that our name was very popular in the 1940's? Just thought I'd tell you.
