Parents really surprise you. This year I've had my ups and downs with my dad but he seems to be in support of me travelling as it's something he did when he was my age and he's even offered to help me sell my Halifax shares (worth around £1,400) and this morning he offered to buy me a wireless laptop to take with me

Wow, that's a nice surprise!

It's great that your parents are being supportive. My friend's brother is going travelling and then will join his girlfriend in Australia (she's from there) - everyone is distraught that he'll never come back and he's probably wondering why no-one is excited for him!

i think Oz has had it a bit bad with the murder of those girls but it seems to be relatively safe. where else is he travelling to?

I think it's more that they don't want him to move away from England. They're quite a close family and I guess they don't want their little boy to go so far away from them (even though he's 27!)

I think he's going to Thailand first and around there.
