My series of papercuts for the main characters os Subtilior's amazing fic 'Nine Eleven Ten' is finished, here are Erik the Red and Emma Frost, the White Queen:
I've commented on the Erik one on DA, but gosh is the Emma one beautiful. What kind of card do you use by the way? It looks thicker than the Canson Mi-teintes I'm used to using.
Thank you. I didn't use any fancy materials, the cardstock I'm currently using came from a big pack at a back-to-school sale at my local walmart XD So yeah, it's just regular crafty cardstock. I know the Mi-teintes, I use them for drawing mainly, I think for me they would be a bit too light. I've found that heavier paper/cardstock is the way to go for really detailed work, it doesn't rip that easily... or maybe I'm just a bit clumsy ^^
Thank you very much. Btw, what's happening with your papercuts if I may ask? Did you close a deal for commercial use? I remember you were blogging about it a while back and it sounded really exciting.
You're welcome, it's no lip service, believe me! Yes, I did blog about that! I'm still papercutting full time, and I negotiated a licensing deal with a laser-cutting company that is opening an online shop for wedding stationery. I'm actually working on the designs now. I've licensed limited rights of use to do them for 3 years. I'm a bit unconvinced this is going to happen yet until I see them up on the site, this is so weird!
