posts like this make me wonder why people choose to impoverish themselves by living in new york. Is it so worth it?

well, it's not really new york that's impoverishing me.
this time

my rent at the moment is about what i'd pay for similar lodgings in reno, NV.

...it's the no-source-of-income for two months.
it's the price i pay for not sitting behind a desk six days a week.

and while i may be on a short financial leash right now, sometimes i find it refreshing

there's a sort of asteticism in actually paying close attention to each and every purchase, determining if you really, actually want it, even the little ones that would normally slip through your fingers

alot of times the answer to that question, do i really want it, is no

it makes you realize just how much buying has become a mindless, habitual process, something we do many times over the course of a day without even noticing

word.

Ummm, so I'm planning on maybe meeting with Kim tomorrow, having lunch with a friend and my friend Ashley has a mission (she wants to get someone to allow her to take a photo of his/her butt hole. Like the actual hole.

That's sort of how she is. Anyways, I understand if you don't want to spend much money out, but if you want to provide me with a cheap way to see the city I would love it, and I've spent WAY too much on food here, as well as travel... and entertainment ($21 to spend two wonderful hours in Rockefeller Center which ended in swollen, painful and cut feet.

The end. Call you tomorrow, love
