i just came back from noah's. he is starting a bucket garden on the forsaken strip of concrete behind our building. he gave me seeds to start off with: broccoli, sugar snap peas, mesclun, basil, tomatoes, and cayenne peppers.

we are going to grow food!

some of his little seedlings are already growing.

it's kind of exciting.

I love plants. I really do get a thrill watching mine grow.

In our backyard we have apple trees, so we used to make homemade applesauce. My dad used to keep a vegetable garden, where he grew tomatoes, snow peas, cucumbers, squash, string beans, etc. He also used to keep flower gardens - irises, roses, etc. At least our Magnolias still bloom.

And then we got the internet and the plants were left for the animals.

go josie!
that's so exciting. we should combine out plants to make dishes and have nice dinner. i haven't seen you in forever. school is eating up all my time

but regardless we should find sometime for a good dinner, a fine wine, and perhaps a quality film
