i was talking with some friends about all of this.
we have come to the realization that we need to be trust fund babies
this would solve every problem ---------------------------- ps. burt just started a job at starbucks.... --------------------------- so...let's get working on those damn inheritances
no no. we needed to at least have had parents who gave us enough money to go to prestiguous colleges for free, all expenses paid, so we can work for the Hot New Art Thing without pay and move to a big city and not have to worry about money for rent or eating for three or four years while we "establish" ourselves.
Or we can take care of ourselves and wipe people's floors and asses and order their fucking limos and be happy we are on the way up and not already at the top where the only way to go is down.
Did you guys both have this? I went to an amazing school with amazing people, with an amazing amount of trust fund babies or people who might as well have been for how much damn money they have thrown to them.
I, on the hand, have the shitty job (lab as an office, but still not so cool) and don't really see my income in any feasible way (except as it heads out the back to pay for student loans or credit card bills from my stupid undergrad years, or groceries). I'm finally able to save up some money (almost $500) when the floor falls through and I have to take 2 english classes (for med school... wtf?) and the only classes that work with my work schedule, cost $1000.
I love what I got out of my expensive education, but damn. Being in Reno this past weekend, I wanted to kick myself for not getting a free education.
