last summer I was at a Reverend Billy Revival with Jill and Scott. This really elderly guy walked out and my first response was "Wow that guy in OLD." A few minutes later I realized it was Kurt Vonnegut. It was sad. He looked so frail.
he was an amazing writer and such a frail, but good guy it makes his death so sad, especially that it had to happen at a time and place he was so sadden and frustrated by. (ps that all may be false. i never met the man; i just read his work, and those were my thoughts)

this is the first one that's really seemed to hit me.
vonnegut represents a very specific time in my life.
and it's sad to realize that he's written all that he will write.
there will be no more.
