The summer I went home between moving from Hamburg to Berlin my family started a tradition of renting a beach house in Santa Cruz and hanging out for a week. All of my moms crazy family under one roof and in the waves of Santa Cruz. They have been doing it every year since. In fact, I think they are there right now. And I want so much to be there too...Tim and his new wife, my Uncle and his new family, my sister and her brood of children and the new little one ready to burst out, my cousins, my grandma, my aunts...man...Summering at the beach...

Luckily I have Venice and Kassel to look forward to...though stinky canals and lonely journaling of what art I like would have sounded way better a few years ago when it was still new.

Anyways...I feel you.

Are you still thinking of seeing Berlin this Fall?
